Role Overview

Location: Temple, Texas (Onsite)

Looking for your first step into accounting? Join PDI Technologies’ Managed Services team as an Accounting Processing Clerk and gain real-world accounting experience from day one. You’ll support accounting, pricing, fuel management, and data processing for leading convenience retail and petroleum companies in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

This role is built for people who want a strong foundation in accounting. You’ll learn the accounting cycle hands-on – recording transactions, posting journal entries, reconciling accounts, and supporting the month-end close – while working alongside experienced professionals and learning the systems our clients rely on.

What You’ll Do:

    • Maintain and record business transactions for assigned accounts, including A/P, A/R, and other routine accounting activities
    • Perform general ledger activities such as journal entries for accruals or expense account reclassifications
    • Interface with store managers and personnel to ensure efficient store processing, providing timely and accurate data, preparing statements and basic financial reports
    • Generate and review customer financial statements, post journal entries, and reconcile accounts – including billing, bank statements, and credit card settlements – as part of the period close process
    • Review and analyze monthly operating results for accuracy and reasonableness, providing recommendations when opportunities for improvement are presented
    • Follow up on accounting/system issues that affect accounts to ensure proper reporting of financial data
    • Develop and maintain financial reporting and tracking tools
