About the role

St. Norbert College, a nationally ranked, private, Catholic, liberal arts college, is accepting applications for an adjunct instructor qualified to teach Methods in Art Education (EDUC 319) and to supervise the clinical field experience embedded within the course for the Fall 2026 semester. Required Qualifications include a Master's degree in Art Education, Art, Education, or a related field and a minimum of three years of experience as an art teacher in a PK–12 classroom. The ideal candidate has knowledge of PK–12 art curriculum, instructional methods, and assessment, along with experience mentoring beginning teachers.

The course prepares undergraduate Art Education majors to become effective PK–12 art teachers, and the instructor both teaches the methods coursework and supervises candidates during their clinical placement. Topics covered include curriculum and lesson planning, instructional methods, classroom management, assessment, studio practice, and the development of a professional teaching portfolio. Supervision responsibilities include observing candidates as they teach in PK–12 classrooms, conducting individual conferences, and coordinating with cooperating teachers and placement sites.

Interested applicants are invited to submit a current resume/curriculum vitae, introductory cover letter, and evidence of teaching effectiveness.
