LayerZero is seeking an experienced developer to build and maintain the organization's internally developed applications. This role is responsible for designing, building, deploying, and supporting web applications, cloud infrastructure, and system integrations that support manufacturing, supply chain, finance, and quality operations. The Application Developer will work in close partnership with IT leadership to ensure that internally developed solutions are reliable, scalable, secure, and maintainable.

Key Responsibilities

? Application Development

? Design and build web applications end to end — user interface, application logic, data access, and supporting services

? Design and maintain the relational schemas, queries, and APIs behind those applications

? Migrate existing stakeholder-developed tooling into production-level systems

? Use AI coding assistants and agents to augment development as well as routine technical work, including documentation, issue analysis, and research

? Write and maintain automated tests appropriate to the risk of the code being changed, and work within established standards for repository structure, code review, and release

? Infrastructure and Deployment

? Author and maintain infrastructure and configuration as code (Terraform) in version control

? Build and maintain automated build, test, and release pipelines so that production changes are reviewable, repeatable, and reversible

? Integration and Middleware

? Design, implement, and maintain integrations between internal applications and third-party systems using REST APIs, OData, and event-driven patterns

? Build and maintain middleware services handling transformation, routing, retry, and error handling across system boundaries

? Instrument integrations so that failures are detected and actionable rather than silent; troubleshoot cross-boundary failures to root cause

? Collaboration and Review

? Work directly with business stakeholders to elicit requirements, define scope, and translate operational needs into technical specifications

? Demonstrate working software at regular intervals, surface tradeoffs and constraints early, and coordinate user acceptance testing through to release

? Review applications built by business users on agentic and low-code platforms; advise on data access, security, and supportability, including when a solution should be rebuilt as a maintained application

? Serve as a technical point of contact for external development partners and vendors: clarify requirements, review delivered code, and confirm that work meets company standards

? Maintain technical and user-facing documentation, and conduct key user training for new and updated applications

? Operations and Support

? Monitor application health, performance, and error rates; establish alerting that reflects actual user impact

? Perform routine application and infrastructure maintenance through the standard change process

? Investigate and resolve production issues, including after-hours escalation for business-critical systems

? Provide tier 2+ support for internally developed applications and integrations

Requirements

Qualifications

? Required

? 6+ years of professional software development experience, including ownership of applications from design through production operation

? Ability to gather requirements from non-technical stakeholders, communicate constraints in business terms, and escalate when requirements or system state are unclear

? Proficiency building web applications, including front- and back-end development experience (TypeScript/Node, React, Python, .NET, Java, PostgreSQL)

? Experience designing and maintaining system integrations using REST APIs, OData, or messaging

? Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure defined and managed as code, and with Git-based workflows and automated deployment

? Strong SQL and relational data modeling skills

? Preferred

? Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field

? Experience in a manufacturing environment, particularly interaction with ERP, MES, CRM, and BI systems supporting business operations

? Working knowledge of common SaaS/PaaS systems (Render, Vercel, Supabase, Clerk)

? Experience integrating AI coding tools into team development workflows, including standards for review and acceptance

? Technical certifications, such as AZ-204 (Azure Developer Associate), AZ-400 (DevOps Engineer Expert), or AZ-104 (Azure Administrator Associate
