Description
About the role
Our client, a California nonprofit in the behavioral health field, is hiring remote Associates to review and score Request for Application (RFA) submissions. You will evaluate funding applications from community-based behavioral health programs using a standard scoring rubric.
This role suits detail-oriented professionals with a background in education, psychology, social work, public health or a related field. You will work independently under the direction of a program director and help ensure a fair, consistent review process.
What you'll do
• Complete the required orientation and scoring calibration training
• Independently review an assigned set of RFA applications
• Score each application against the approved rubric and review procedures
• Write clear comments that identify each application's strengths and concerns
• Submit complete evaluations by set deadlines
• Join calibration, clarification and panel consensus meetings as needed
• Revise your scoring rationale on request so it applies the criteria clearly and consistently
• Disclose any potential conflicts of interest, keep applicant information confidential and stay impartial throughout
This role has no supervisory duties. Other duties may be assigned.
