About the role
B1 Licensed Engineer
Bristol| Full-time | On-Site
15% bonus • 7% pension • Staff travel benefits
You’re a hands-on B1 Licensed Engineer who combines sound technical judgement with an unwavering focus on safety.
You enjoy solving problems at pace, taking ownership of your work and helping the wider team keep aircraft moving safely and on time.
The opportunity
Join easyJet’s Engineering and Maintenance team and use your licence where it has a direct impact on aircraft safety, reliability and the flying programme.
You’ll complete scheduled and unscheduled maintenance, rectify defects, certify work and supervise small teams when the operation requires it. Every shift brings practical challenges, clear responsibility and the chance to make a visible difference.
“This role suits an engineer who takes pride in doing things properly, communicates clearly and stays focused when the operation is under pressure. You’ll have the support of an experienced team, along with real responsibility from day one.”
The team & culture
You’ll be part of easyJet’s Engineering and Maintenance team, working closely with Duty Engineers, Maintenance Supervisors and colleagues across the operation to deliver high standards of aircraft performance.
Our Orange Spirit is practical and people-focused: colleagues share information, support one another and take ownership of safe, reliable delivery.
What you’ll be doing
You’ll carry out scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and defect rectification in line with approved maintenance documentation, company procedures and legislation.
You’ll record and certify completed work, inspect replacement parts and components, and make sure technical documentation is accurate, complete and ready for a safe handover.
You’ll prioritise work and resources, flag risks to the flying programme early, support aircraft departures and supervise others to maintain the right standards of workmanship, quality and tool use.
