Conference Services Manager

THIS IS A FULL-TIME, SEASONAL POSITION FOR THE SUMMER 2027 SEASON (MID JANUARY THROUGH MID NOVEMBER)

Mission Point Resort, Mackinac Islands' only full service, casual resort is currently seeking candidates to fill the position of Conference Services Manager. This full time 10 month position is located on Mackinac Island and offers competitive pay, housing, other perks. The ideal applicant will possess an upbeat attitude and enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Conference Service Manager is a detail oriented planning professional, possessing excellent event management and clerical skills. Conference Service Manager will be assigned groups and weddings that will be handled in detail by the CSM. This will include room setup, menu planning, billing, and any details related to the event. The position is also responsible for communication all details to Mission Point staff and to ensure successful execution.

Qualifications

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, or related field preferred

• Minimum two years experience Event Management/Conference Services

• Ability to live on or travel to and work on Mackinac Island for the summer season

• Knowledge of principles and practices within the catering, food and beverage and hospitality professions

• Be an enthusiastic, helpful and positive member of the team

• May be required to work varying schedules as reflected by business needs of the hotel

• Be self-motivated and use time wisely
