About the role

Bravera is hiring for an Embedded Banking Officer in Bismarck, ND or Dickinson, ND. Bravera is an employee- and director-owned company that is committed to helping our employees forge a new path in their career. We work together to drive continuous improvement which enhances the customers experience and keeps our organization moving forward.

This position is responsible for coordinating the day-to-day administration, governance, and oversight of Bravera’s embedded banking program. This position connects internal business, operations, technology, finance, risk, compliance, BSA/AML, fraud, information security, legal, and audit stakeholders with Central Payments to support controlled program implementation and ongoing operations. The officer facilitates partner onboarding, committee reporting, issue escalation, regulatory readiness, and continuous improvement while ensuring responsibilities remain clearly assigned to the appropriate Bravera and Central Payments control owners.

MEASURES OF SUCCESS:

  • Provide timely, accurate coordination with Central Payments, fintech partners, and internal control owners, with clear ownership, due dates, and documented resolution of open items.
  • Maintain effective governance routines, management reporting, committee materials, decision records, and escalation processes for the embedded banking program.
  • Support successful implementation and ongoing operation of approved fintech programs through disciplined due diligence, onboarding, testing, readiness validation, and post-launch monitoring.
  • Demonstrate and promote Bravera’s culture through prompt, efficient, collaborative, and courteous service to internal and external stakeholders.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer the embedded banking governance cadence, including preparation of meeting agendas, status reports, risk and issue summaries, decision logs, action-item tracking, and committee materials.
  • Serve as Bravera’s primary business liaison with Central Payments for embedded banking implementation, operations, governance, partner oversight, and relationship management.
  • Coordinate cross-functional activities among Bravera, Central Payments, fintech partners, and external advisors, ensuring decisions, dependencies, deliverables, and follow-up items are documented and assigned.
  • Coordinate partner pipeline reviews and support Bravera’s evaluation, due diligence, approval, contracting, onboarding, launch-readiness, and post-implementation review processes.
  • Maintain the program inventory, responsibility matrices, contact and escalation lists, key contractual obligations, approval records, policies, procedures, and supporting evidence.
  • Monitor Central Payments and fintech partner service performance against contractual requirements, service levels, reporting obligations, audit commitments, and remediation plans; escalate exceptions to accountable Bravera owners.
  • Facilitate operational readiness across account opening, transaction processing, settlement, reconciliation, card management, disputes, complaints, fraud operations, customer support, and financial reporting without replacing the accountability of the designated process owners.
  • Coordinate with Compliance, BSA/AML, Fraud, Information Security, Third-Party Risk, Operations, Finance, Legal, Internal Audit, and business owners to support ongoing monitoring and timely completion of required reviews.
  • Assist with regulatory examination and audit readiness by organizing program documentation, evidence, responses, issue tracking, and management reporting in coordination with the responsible subject-matter experts.
  • Coordinate incident, complaint and service-disruption communications between Bravera and Central Payments; confirm that matters are documented, escalated, and tracked under applicable procedures.
  • Analyze program reporting, operational trends, partner performance, deposit and transaction activity, exceptions, and emerging risks; develop concise management summaries and recommended follow-up actions.
  • Support business continuity, disaster recovery, information-security, data-governance, and third-party oversight activities applicable to the embedded banking program.
  • Identify opportunities to improve controls, reporting, workflows, documentation, customer outcomes, and operating efficiency, and coordinate approved enhancements with internal owners and Central Payments.
  • Maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism regarding customer, employee, partner, and proprietary information.
  • Provide prompt, efficient, and courteous service to all internal customers of Bravera Holdings Corp. and Subsidiaries.
  • Adhere to all applicable laws, regulations, policies, and procedures, including the requirements of the Bank Secrecy Act. Remain vigilant for potentially illegal or fraudulent activity, including money laundering, and report suspicious activity to the BSA Officer in accordance with Bravera procedures.
  • Contribute to the overall success of the organization.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES:

None. The position leads through coordination, influence, governance, and cross-functional accountability rather than direct personnel supervision.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, banking, information systems, risk management, or a related field; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Five or more years of experience in banking, payments, fintech, program management, operations, third-party risk management, compliance, or a related financial-services discipline.
  • Working knowledge of embedded banking, sponsor-bank oversight, payment operations, deposit products, fintech partnerships, and third-party service-provider relationships.
  • Understanding of financial-institution governance and control functions and regulatory examination support.
  • Excellent relationship-management, facilitation, written communication, presentation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities, exercise sound judgment, escalate concerns promptly, and work effectively with senior leaders and external partners.
