Plan sequences of operations/working cycles for limited subsystems: Perform pre-planning, primary and detailed planning for sequences of operations, working cycles, layouts, processes, material presentation, concepts, production equipment and lead times in accordance with quality, ergonomic and operational targets for limited subsystems, e.g. limited BiW work (detachable parts, front-end subassemblies, sidewall subassemblies), roller dynamometers, parts production using similar technologies, in conjunction with other involved parties. Change and acquire new production equipment on the basis of efficiency measures. Prepare target/actual comparisons of required capacities or product variants, present alternatives and compile, reconcile and monitor asset investment/capital expenditure costs, overheads and production times. Check technical product documentation and criteria for optimal implementation; request amendment and adjustment as required. |
Plan simple production equipment: Create capacity and utilization plans for simple production equipment (e.g. Bemis, Tools, simple Manipulators). Determine nature and quantity of production equipment required. Estimate costs and develop proposals for internal/external procurement; arrange procurement as appropriate. |
Prepare requirements and obtain and evaluate offers for limited subsystems: Develop and reconcile requirements (e.g. technical and other specifications) for limited subsystems and services. Evaluate contractors on the basis of technical considerations and propose for selection. Obtain offers and evaluate in terms of technical implementation, value for money, follow-up costs and supply availability. Clarify details with regard to technology, construction and delivery dates. Provide support to Procurement on technical issues relating to negotiations. |
Support and monitor the setup, approval and acceptance of limited subsystems: Coordinate and monitor the setup, approval, acceptance and initial utilization of limited subsystems. Control the correct implementation in terms of technical requirements and scheduling. Demonstrate process capability. Create acceptance reports, jointly define and schedule remediation measures for faults and track their implementation. Perform follow-up approval and acceptance as required. Arrange additional changes and improvements and adjust documentation accordingly. |
Optimize and document technical processes for limited subsystems: Determine production workflows; describe working cycles, sequences of operations, layouts, material presentation, production equipment and tool concepts and determine optimal batch sizes for limited subsystems. Calculate and determine standard times (MTM/c-values). Document production workflows, including machine setting data. Implement provisions on test procedures. Submit testing and measurement orders. Develop, introduce and monitor rationalization measures, reductions to production times and procedural improvements; evaluate results. Reconcile, determine and represent all planning parameters with the specialist departments. |
Understand and apply existing planning standards, guidelines and auditable documentation; request amendment and adjustment as required. |
