About the Role

Athleta is looking for a highly trusted, proactive Executive Assistant to support the CEO of Athleta and help enable the effectiveness of the brand leadership team. This role is a strategic partner who anticipates needs, connects dots, and keeps priorities moving in a fast-paced, highly visible environment. Working closely with the CEO, executive assistants, administrative assistant team and cross-functional leaders, this person will manage complex priorities and help ensure the CEO is prepared, informed, and focused on the work that matters most.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a trusted partner to the CEO, proactively managing priorities, commitments, and follow through with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Own complex calendar management, meeting coordination, travel planning, and expense processing with exceptional judgment and attention to detail.
  • Anticipate needs and determine which matters require CEO attention, resolving or routing other issues to the appropriate partners.
  • Prepare for and support key meetings, including agendas, materials, logistics, and action item follow up.
  • Build genuine, trusted relationships across Athleta and Gap Inc., partnering effectively with senior leaders, executive assistants, and key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Serve as a key connector across the Athleta administrative team, sharing timely communication, aligning on priorities, and providing guidance and partnership that enables the team to work effectively with a One Team approach.
  • Serve as an approachable and resourceful point of connection within the office, helping employees navigate day to day questions and connecting them with the right resources and partners.
  • Support special projects from planning through execution, bringing organization, follow through, and flexibility as priorities evolve.
  • Handle highly confidential and sensitive information with discretion, sound judgment, and professionalism.
  • Operate with a high degree of independence, initiative, and agility while balancing multiple high priority and time sensitive needs

Who You Are

  • Previous experience supporting a CEO or other C-suite executive is strongly preferred.
  • You are a proactive problem solver who thrives in a dynamic environment and can navigate ambiguity with calm, agility, and sound judgment.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trusted partnerships at all levels.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, including Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organization, time management, and follow-through; able to manage multiple priorities without losing sight of the bigger picture.
  • A self-starter with a service mindset, strong business acumen, and a genuine interest in Athleta, our customer, and our mission.
  • Typically requires 6+ years of related experience, including significant experience supporting senior executives.
  • Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, with periodic availability outside regular working hours when critical business needs arise
