About the role

Job Description

  • Direct the operation, maintenance, and optimization of critical site utilities including HVAC, high-pressure boilers/steam systems, compressed air, industrial water treatment, and power distribution (HV/MV) to ensure 100% facility uptime.

  • Lead the execution of preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance for all building infrastructure and life safety systems, ensuring compliance with local building codes, fire regulations, and environmental standards.

  • Monitor real-time utility consumption and implement engineering solutions to improve energy efficiency, reduce the site’s carbon footprint, and manage vendor SLAs for cost-effective resource procurement.

  • Manage large-scale capital expenditure (CAPEX) projects, from the design and installation of new utility loops to facility expansions, ensuring projects meet technical specifications, budgets, and safety milestones.

  • Supervise and upskill the facilities technician team; bridge skill gaps in Building Management Systems (BMS), PLC automation for utilities, and advanced troubleshooting for MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) systems.

  • Drive the implementation of Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) within the utilities department, utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA) to minimize Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) and improve the reliability of mission-critical systems.

  • Serve as the technical lead for Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) audits, ensuring all utility operations, waste management protocols, and chemical handling procedures meet ISO and OSHA requirements.

Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Facilities Engineering.

  • Experience: 3:5 years of experience in industrial facilities management, specifically within high-volume manufacturing or heavy industrial environments.

  • System Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of industrial HVAC, chiller plants, air compressors (centrifugal/screw), and electrical switchgear.

  • Leadership: Proven track record of managing multi-disciplinary teams and external contractors on multi-million dollar infrastructure projects.
