Reporting to the Superintendent, Underground Mine, you will be part of the Mine Department. You will ensure that the goals and objectives are achieved while promoting and respecting Agnico Eagle’s culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct, and the environment.

• Manage day-to-day operations for mine development, production and construction and lead by example to build a safe and strong employee culture;

• Plan, direct, and coordinate the activities of mine operations employees in a safe, environmentally sound, and efficient manner, either personally or through subordinate supervisors;

• Monitor costs, productivity, health & safety, and employee motivation;

• Interact with the Mine Management team to establish production and quality standards by using knowledge of mining technology (methods, procedures, standards, and machine & equipment

• capabilities);

• Set priorities, plan, and direct mining activities in keeping up with effective mining operations and cost controls;

• Coordinate production activities along with procurement, maintenance, production planning, safety, and quality control activities to obtain optimal use of employee and equipment resources;

• Review and analyze production to determine the sources of variance between production performance and goals;

• Collaborate and communicate effectively with all appropriate parties, developing and implementing methods and procedures to eliminate operational problems and improve efficiency as well as ore quality;

• Communicate and coordinate with the engineering team and other departments to develop and implement actions allowing us to improve productivity and efficiency;

• Lead by example and manage the performance and development of direct reports, ensuring compliance with the Agnico Eagle Mining Personnel Policies and Procedures;
