Position Details

We’re looking for a reliable and dedicated Kitchenhand to join our Palm Lake Resort Toowoomba team. You will play an essential role in supporting our culinary team by maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring residents and guests enjoy every dining experience.

This is a Part Time position, working 8 hours per week on a Tuesday and Thursday dinner service shift 3:30pm - 7:30pm.

Responsibilities

• Assist chefs/cook with basic food preparation and service.

• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and dining areas.

• Wash, sanitise, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment properly.

• Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

• Support stock rotation and assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.

• Empty rubbish bins and ensure waste is disposed of safely and hygienically.

• Clean food preparation areas, fridges, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.

• Follow workplace health and safety guidelines and report hazards promptly.

• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

• Previous experience working in a kitchen, café, or catering environment (preferred).

• Knowledge of food hygiene and safe work practices.

• Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.

• Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
