Part-Time Feed Driver Gothenburg

· Operate a tractor/trailer in accordance with Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations

· Effectively communicate with dispatch as required.

· Physically meet the demands of required duties as described in the Physical Requirements section of this Job Profile.

· Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections on truck/trailer to ensure DOT standards are met and detect defects that may affect the safe operation of the unit; perform in-route inspections as needed.

· Report any defects or problems with the truck/trailers to the appropriate individuals.

· Maintain all required paperwork associated with each load.

· Review paperwork to determine the nature of the load, customer location, delivery route and that the delivery time corresponds with dispatch instructions.

· Comply with all company and customer requirements on the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

· Properly maintain all records required by the company as well as governmental agencies.

· Report all accidents and/or work-related injuries (regardless of severity) to the appropriate manager.

· Maintain proper communication with manager on status.

Work Environment:

· Drivers may spend 10% to 30% of their time out of doors exposed to potentially difficult environmental conditions.

· Drivers may be subject to irregular work schedules, weather extremes, short notice for trip assignments, tight delivery schedules, and other stresses related to driving a large commercial motor vehicle.

· Drivers typically spend 80 to 90% of on-duty time in the truck.

· While driving, operators are exposed to noise and vibration levels that may be higher than those typically experienced in passenger cars.

Pay: $22.75–$32.00 per hour
