Employment Focus | End-to-end architecture and technical leadership across Classic AUTOSAR, Adaptive AUTOSAR, ADAS platforms, and QNX/Linux-based automotive systems |
Target Level | Senior Engineer / Technical Lead / Principal Engineer |
Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Engineer – AUTOSAR & ADAS Platform Architecture to define and drive software architecture for next-generation automotive ECU and high-performance compute platforms. The candidate will provide technical leadership across Classic AUTOSAR and Adaptive AUTOSAR, ADAS system integration, communication middleware, and QNX/Linux-based platforms, working with system architects, platform teams, diagnostics, safety, cybersecurity, and feature-development teams to deliver scalable, reusable, and ASPICE-compliant solutions.
Key Responsibilities
Architecture Definition and Technical Leadership
· Define the end-to-end software architecture and technical roadmap for next-generation ECU and high-performance compute platforms spanning Classic AUTOSAR, Adaptive AUTOSAR, ADAS applications, middleware, and QNX/Linux.
· Establish reference architectures, design principles, reusable platform services, interface contracts, and deployment patterns aligned with product-line and software-defined vehicle strategies.
· Lead architecture trade-off studies covering performance, safety, security, scalability, maintainability, cost, and time-to-market.
· Provide technical direction to cross-functional engineering teams, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout design, implementation, integration, validation, and release.
Classic and Adaptive AUTOSAR Architecture
· Architect Classic AUTOSAR solutions across MCAL, BSW, RTE, complex device drivers, communication, diagnostics, memory, security, and operating-system services.
· Define Adaptive AUTOSAR application and platform-service architecture, including ara::com, execution and state management, diagnostics, persistency, and service-oriented communication.
· Design integration between Classic AUTOSAR ECUs, Adaptive AUTOSAR applications, vehicle networks, cloud services, and non-AUTOSAR components.
· Govern ARXML models, service and signal interfaces, configuration baselines, variant handling, generated artifacts, and change-impact analysis across releases.
ADAS and QNX/Linux Platform Integration
· Drive integration of ADAS functions across sensors, diagnostics, vehicle networks, and high-performance compute platforms.
· Define QNX and embedded Linux platform architecture covering boot flow, BSP, device drivers, IPC, scheduling, memory, networking, system services, security, and lifecycle management.
· Guide middleware, POSIX application, container or virtualization, and hardware-acceleration integration while meeting real-time and safety constraints.
· Lead ECU and vehicle bring-up, performance profiling, timing and resource analysis, system debugging, and root-cause resolution using platform traces, network captures, and hardware debuggers.
Engineering Governance, Safety, and Release Readiness
· Translate vehicle, system, safety, cybersecurity, and software requirements into architecture decisions, interfaces, technical specifications, and implementation guidance.
· Ensure architectural compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262, cybersecurity requirements, AUTOSAR standards, OEM guidelines, and internal engineering processes.
· Conduct architecture, design, code, configuration, and supplier-deliverable reviews; identify risks and drive timely closure of technical gaps.
· Own technical release criteria, integration readiness, traceability, defect triage, technical debt management, and architecture conformance across program increments.
Validation Strategy and Engineering Excellence
· Define multi-level verification strategies covering unit, integration, interface, platform, fault-injection, performance, regression, and vehicle-level validation.
· Promote CI/CD, automated configuration checks, static analysis, test automation, observability, and measurable quality gates across the software lifecycle.
· Mentor architects and engineers, facilitate technical workshops, and build organizational capability in AUTOSAR, ADAS, QNX/Linux, debugging, and platform engineering.
· Collaborate with product, system, hardware, safety, cybersecurity, validation, and supplier teams to resolve cross-domain issues and deliver robust production solutions.
