Position at JBS USA
PRODUCTION HOURLY
Responsibilities:
- Use assortment of knives, steel, and a hook to perform job tasks
- Maintain sharpness of knives and develop effective knife-sharpening skills
- Operate heavy equipment
- Bag and Box product
- Properly utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Expected to work, hands on, at a high speed and lift over 50 lbs
- Maintain clean work areas and adhere to all food safety protocols
- Must adhere to JBS specifications in product to ensure quality of meat
- Prepare meat for packing, which may include shaving or washing
- Inspect meat or meat products and/or packaging
- Remain alert to surroundings and properly report hazards to a supervisor
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Experience in production settings preferred
- Prior work in a manufacturing environment preferred
- Ability to work safely around chemicals, machinery, and knives
- Comfortable working in conditions with slippery floors, extreme temperatures, and loud noise
- Ability to work 40+ hours
- Strong attendance and safety records
- Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation
