PRODUCTION SUPERINTENDENT

Job Description:

To Manage the operations of the Production process and Laboratory sections on three tree shifts basis and monitor operations pf the packing house and the distillery in the company’s factory Department.

Manage sugar processing operations on a shift basis

•Control check points ensuring the production are within the specified limits.

•Maximize sugar production and efficiencies by proactively controlling loss reduction and optimizing process control to set targets

Ensure that the section is operating effectively in a cost efficient manner

•Abnormalities must be foreseen and reported in a timely manner to minimize breakdown and loss of production

•Breakdowns must be reported to minimize down time of production

•Labour available must be fully utilised within the shifts

•Ensure all processes within the production are working well

Schedule maintenance during off crop season

•Ensure that chemicals are available for use.

•Ensure the factory is shut down and start-ups is within specific time

•Ensure that any inefficient equipment is fixed during this time by relevant engineering section

Production Quality

•Product quality of sugar must be maintained at all times by all operators in their respective area of operation

•Ensure that the standard operating procedures are followed and checks are carried out to detect anything that may endanger the product

Water Reticulation

•Ensure that the best water quality from condensation is sent to the boilers.

•Ensure that enough water is available for process mills, distillery and other users

Off Crop maintenance

•Defects are identified and reported for maintenance

Hydro testing of vessels for leaks are confirmed and repaired
