Pay

HK$79,379 to HK$157,734 (HGPS Pt. 30 to Pt. 44B) per month including Monthly Allowance.

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as end-of-contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff upon completion of the contract subject to satisfactory performance.

Responsibilities

1. Provide clinical and related services in the specialty.

2. Assist in supervising other Residents undergoing specialist training.

3. Assist in undertaking administrative work.

4. Undergo continuing medical education and professional development.

Entry Requirements

1. Registered medical practitioner under the Medical Registration Ordinance; and

2. Fellow of the Hong Kong Academy of Medicine (Paediatrics) or equivalent; and

3. Registered in the Specialist Register in the relevant specialty of the Medical Council of Hong Kong.

Preferred Attributes / Exposure

1. Staff members in the rank are expected to meet the 4 core competencies set for the Resident post. They are:

(a) Functional competency.

(b) Personal competency.

(c) People and team competency.

(d) Organization effectiveness.

2. Experience in Community Paediatrics and Developmental-Behavioural Paediatrics is preferred.
