Job Overview

The Technology Platform Business Manager is a position within the Strategic Business Planning, Financials Management & Platform Transformation. This position will act as a strategic partner to the technology, operations and business in our effort to drive financial excellence across Consumer Banking Retail Technology with a goal of best-in-class cost management. The business manager will play a critical role in the development of Platform budget and planning processes, governance and oversight of platform workforce & financials. He/she would partner with senior leadership to establish best practices within categories of spend.

A Platform Business Manager will either be part of a large workstream owning pieces of the work or will be expected to lead up workstreams focused on meeting platform financial KPIs, with a focus on both labor and non-labor costs. Role will require oversight of consultants, analysts and interaction with various internal organizations including Operations and Technology. Will be required to conduct/review detailed data analytics, develop executive presentations and facilitate working sessions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive performance management and financial planning strategies for the Technology function
• Collaborate with stakeholders to align performance and financial objectives with the overall business strategy
• Oversee the preparation and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and financial reports to ensure efficient resource allocation and cost management
• Demonstrate excellent Excel skills to create and maintain complex financial models and data visualizations
• Provide strategic guidance and support to the Technology leadership team on performance and financial planning matters
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of the performance and financial planning function

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
• Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
• Proven track record in developing and implementing performance management and financial planning strategies
• Experience in driving large-scale strategic budget/cost initiatives for multi-national organization
• Excellent analytical, attention to details, and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data
• Strong project management and stakeholder management skills
• Proficient in the use of financial modeling and data analysis tools, including advanced Excel skills
