Responsibilities

• Work with teammates to identify opportunities to improve the Search quality by incorporating advanced ML technologies in Search projects.
• Build solutions to enable novel Search experiences (e.g. enabling natural language queries).
• Design, and implement machine learning models and algorithms for improving search quality.
• Solve complex problems related to interactions between different search components like query understanding, knowledge understanding along with ranking. 
• Handle all technical aspects of development, including technical requirements definition, design, implementation, unit testing, and integration.

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  
• 5 years of experience programming in Python or C++.
  
• 3 years of experience with ML infrastructure (e.g., model deployment, model evaluation, optimization, data processing, debugging).
  
• 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products.
  
• 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
  
• 1 year of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).

Preferred qualifications:

• Experience launching and scaling user-facing, large-scale, production quality systems.
• Experience with recommender systems.
• Experience with software development.
• Passion for machine learning technologies, and ML/NLP/Quality.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

In most instances, this position requires in-person interviews as part of the hiring process.
