About the role
The Southern Saratoga YMCA is seeking dynamic individuals for the part- time positions of Program Instructor. This position supports the work of the Y; a leading charity committed to strengthening community. Program Instructors plan and implement lesson plans, ensure safety is observed and goals of the program are met, greets all participants and parents in a professional and friendly manner.
MIMIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School/GED. College level study in a physical education, health education or recreational program preferred.
- Previous experience in coordinating recreational programs.
- Ability to relate effectively to diverse groups of people from all social and economic segments of the community.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications (completed within 30 days of hire)
- New Employee Orientation, Sexual Harassment, ALICE (Active Shooter), and Bloodborne Pathogens trainings (completed within 90 days of hire)
WORK SCHEDULE:
- Part Time
- Work hours: Weekday evenings and weekend mornings
