About the role

At Ecolab, we are looking for a Sr. Financial Analyst I to join the Procurement Finance LASC team.

In this role, you will be responsible for preparing reports, budgets, and forecasts related to procurement costs and variances, supporting the Procurement & Supply Chain Finance teams.

This position will focus on activities such as regional procurement analysis, unit cost trends/variances, material costs, net structural savings, projections of the current and future financial impact of procurement spend, and tracking material savings.

Work arrangement: Hybrid.

Location: Puerto Madero.

What you will do:

  • Support monthly reporting, forecasting, and specific analyses of procurement spend, including purchase price variance (PPV) and year-over-year cost changes for the LASC market.
  • Analyze trends driven by external factors, such as commodity and FX changes, and internal factors, such as market volume and mix. Review, investigate, and report significant variances.
  • Support the overall material cost and PPV budgeting process, as well as the analysis of the product standard cost budget.
  • Collaborate with Procurement and Finance teams to identify, track, and promote savings opportunities, such as net structural savings, gross margin initiatives, and pricing.
  • Strengthen collaboration with internal business partners by engaging with Division Finance and Global Supply Chain Finance teams on material variance analysis, forecasting, and Rate-Volume-Mix analysis.
  • Create and maintain accurate material cost and volume data in a regional database.
  • Provide ad hoc reporting and analysis, as needed, to support Procurement and Division activities.
  • Provide additional support to the Global and Market Supply Chain Finance teams, as needed.

Requirements:

  • Graduate or advanced student in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (required).
  • Four to six years of previous experience in accounting, finance, or costing.
  • Ability to communicate complex information clearly and concisely.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel, and experience with Power BI.
  • Experience working with SAP (preferred).
  • Advanced English proficiency (required).
