About the role

Description

CityTeam is a Christian non-profit dedicated to supporting communities by meeting immediate needs and enabling lasting solutions for those struggling with poverty, homelessness, and addiction. Being part of CityTeam is not just a career but a calling. Whether we’re working on the front-lines in Programs or working behind the scenes in Support Services, we feel privileged to use our education, experience, and gifts to love people and bring glory to God.

Description - Church Engagement:

The Church Engagement role represents approximately half of this full-time position and is focused on expanding CityTeam Portland’s relationships with churches throughout the Portland metro area. This role will build meaningful partnerships that connect churches to our work addressing homelessness, addiction, recovery, and housing, while sharing the love of God with those we serve. Responsibilities include creating opportunities for CityTeam staff, residents, and graduates to share their stories and testimonies with congregations, recruiting volunteers, and inviting churches to engage through service, financial support, and ongoing partnership. The ideal candidate is outgoing, relational, passionate about meeting new people, and excited to share the life-changing work God is doing through CityTeam.

Description - Learning Center:

The Learning Center Coordinator will wear many hats, including teacher, facilitator, mentor, guidance counselor, and case manager. The Learning Center Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and overseeing Learning Center plans and procedures, conducting assessments, instructing clients, and assisting with other essential functions of the Residential and Transitional Housing Programs. No two days are ever the same, so we are looking for someone who can pivot quickly and handle any situation with grace in a Christ-like manner. Our ideal candidate will have a servant’s heart and have the expertise to ensure our Learning Center is best in class.
