QC Assistant - AU

Job Description

• Follow up policies and procedures to comply with the requirements
• Full analysis of offers, pre-shipment samples, shipment samples, and arrivals (Commercial to Specialty)
• Prepare and dispatch samples to customers
• Maintain accurate records of all coffees received and assessed in the system
• Prepare cupping sessions following SCA protocols
• Conduct physical analysis, measurements and recordings of coffee attributes, including screen size and moisture content
• Cupping to ensure the quality requirements are within specifications and authorise the product's release
• Keep cupping areas, dishwashing facilities, and sample rooms clean and organized;

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in coffee cupping, sensory evaluation, tasting, and coffee quality assessment.
• Experience in coffee quality control, coffee roasting, hospitality, food & beverage, laboratory testing, or related environments is preferred.
• Exposure to specialty and/or commercial coffee markets is advantageous.
• Experience with laboratory activities, sample management, and quality record keeping is beneficial but not essential.

• The role is based in our Australia office and requires unrestricted work rights in Australia.
• Good written and spoken English.
• Ability to work in a dynamic trading environment and respond professionally to customer and operational priorities.
