Google's software engineers develop the next-generation technologies that change how billions of users connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. As a software engineer, you will work on a specific project critical to Google’s needs with opportunities to switch teams and projects as you and our fast-paced business grow and evolve. Responsibilities
- Build and operate core components of Google Pay's card tokenization platform, including the token provisioning journey, card lifecycle management, and the transaction processing engine.
- Build features end-to-end, which includes understanding Flutter for user-interfacing surfaces (device experience), and backend systems (Server Platform, Spanner) for secure token routing and payments state management.
- Work with PM, TPM, Analytics, network partners (Visa, Mastercard, RuPay), and other Engineering teams to build tokenized card features from the ground up.
Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, or 2 year of experience with an advanced degree.
- 2 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, Golang, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
- Experience in computer science, with strong competencies in data structures, algorithms and software design.
- Experience in designing and implementing distributed software systems.
- Knowledge in design and development of API or Microservices.
- Knowledge in Flutter development.
